I know I’ve mentioned my love for seniors but I even got to enjoy something totally new to me with seniors: a guy! We had fun too! He brought his mom and cute girlfriend along for help and we all had a ball (except for once again, we were all sweating to death!). Nate is the cutest. He’s so sweet and such a good son! If I ever have a son that turns out like him, I will be very happy! Seriously, let me have a son that is this sweet to me (and vows to never leave me)…I’m happy! He’s handsome, sweet and plays all kinds of sports! I think baseball is the favorite and he’s hoping to play college ball next year, which I’m sure he’ll do great and totally enjoy! He has a fun senior year ahead too! Lots of great memories and things to enjoy-the good times in life!! They go way too fast too!! Thank you Suzette & Nate! I had the best time with you!! We need to all get together (we’re family) more often!! I hope you love the pics!

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I have a new love in my life…SENIORS! I LOVE shooting kids too, and really that’s the bulk of my business but oh my is it fun when you can actually pose someone?! They stand still too! This one was a blast too. Meet Lydia. She’s beautiful on the inside & out, smart, plays a mean saxophone and is has a bright future ahead! She’s one of those girls that is good at everything and gives it 100% no matter the task. (Mom will vouch for me…she has a very proud & good mama by her side along the way!) We had an awesome shoot (in the miserable heat) and I’m excited to share these! Hope you enjoy! Have an awesome Senior Year, Lydia! The best times are ahead!!

I’m pretty sure that I cried while preparing Haven’s delivery in ’09 (who I wasn’t related too) so I should have known I’d be wreck with this one. On April 14, 2010 I was in the delivery room when my nephew, David Penn Cooper came into this world. He’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, too. (With hopefully the most patient mama and daddy since their stinky sista takes forever on their pics) I don’t have much to write on this post.. To me, birth photography should, more than any other kind of photography, speak for itself. I hope that you feel all of the emotion that comes when you witness a new life entering this world. I hope you feel like you were with us. (minus the pain my sister endured, of course.) There is nothing more pure than this. I hope I captured it for you, Jess. I love you.

On my hiatus, I swore several times that I would blog my nephew’s newborn session. It was done, the announcements went out and still, his slacker Aunt let them sit on her hard drive while she ate ice cream at baseball games. He’ll learn soon enough that while it is convenient to have an Aunt who’s a photographer it is equally as annoying that she puts family on the back burner! I’m still editing his delivery session! (which I promise will be up any day…) I’ve loved him since he took forever to come into the world I laid eyes on him. He looks so much different now too! I’ll have lots of fun ones of him this Fall when he’s sitting up all cute & handsome! Enjoy these! I loved my time posing this little cutie…

And here’s his birth announcement front & back…my bro-in-law (aka his Daddy) is a drummer in a band so we HAD to incorporate it! We’ve been planning this shot since they told us they were preggo! I LOVE it too!!

DId you think I was never returning to this blog? Probably! If you follow me on facebook you know that I am still alive, I did manage to upload some pics on there the past few months but overall I tried to enjoy my vacation! We were out in California enjoying our summer, time with Dallas and time away from the computer! Its so hard to do, but when you walk away from the computer for a while, it is empowering! You suddenly have free time! Now, I am back in Georgia editing away and I am so excited to share this maternity session. I shot this in California a month ago and we had the best time together! Veronica and I went to high school together but were a few years apart, years later we found out that we both married ballplayers and finally this Spring ended up in the same city! After a fun Spring Training, our hubbies then played each other in Fresno, so we jumped on the opportunity to capture her preggo. She’s due in August with a baby boy, Andres and I am so excited for them! They are going to be amazing parents and he is gonna be one looker too, wait until you see his parents! If I had a little more redneck in me, I’d be putting this slideshow to the country song, “One Hot Mama….” Seriously, Veronica is gorgeous! We shot half the session in the stadium while I loved (thanks for trusting me Veronica) and thought was appropriate for a boy! Okay, I’ll stop chatting and let you get onto the pics!

Last month, I had the chance again, to photograph a family that I met just days after they brought their new baby girl home. Elle was such a sweet, easy newborn and let me tell you, she has grown up into the prettiest, cutest little girl! Her personality is SO CUTE! Happy as can be and she laughed at me a lot (always a plus)! Their land is gorgeous and we had a hilarious time during our session. Literally, we went from pretty horse in the background, to pretty horses as my main subject! I’ve never seen horses so trying to steal my clients thunder friendly! I seriously could hardly shoot I was laughing so hard. They are a gorgeous family! I was lucky to photograph them! Thanks! Enjoy!!

The best part of my job is watching my clients grow up! I get to be one of the first people they meet (and I like to think they enjoy our time together), hold them as newborns and then watch them sit up, walk, talk…I love it! (I actually shot his first “gig” when he was in mama’s belly) I knew Bennett was going to be a doll, he was a gorgeous little newborn. Completely adorable. Guess what? He’s so stinkin cute at 6 months!! We had a super fun session (including dodging some serious bees) as always and I just LOVE these shots! Enjoy! Thanks Abby & Ben!

Laura & Justin are the cutest couple! I feel like I’ve watched them grow up. (and I feel old thinking about it) Their story is so cute, too. They’ve grown up in church together (laura’s daddy married dallas and I), high school and somewhere along the way decided they were a little more than “just friends.” Justin made sure she didn’t get away when he proposed this Fall in NYC! Whoo hoo! I actually had the inside scoop on this (another reason it pays to go through the Truett’s drive thru at least once a day…) They are busy making wedding plans right with the big day soon approaching! Fall is just around the corner! I had so much fun with these two…such an adorable couple! I love to see a couple already so strong in their faith in the Lord become one! God has truly blessed you guys!! Enjoy your slideshow!

As I continue my Arizona sessions, I stand by my “I only photograph pretty families” motto. The “W” family was so much fun. We even threw both grandma’s in the shoot! We had lots of ground to cover but I think we got a good mix of everything. We definitely had a good time! (Or at least I did, Dad’s sometimes debate my “photo shoots are fun” motto) They were awesome. Total troopers and it shows! What a gorgeous family too!! Reagan is 4 and Austin is 7 months and they are adorable!! Check out their cuteness!
